Why do Ukrainian and Russian women want to marry foreign men? The short answer is that initially, they don’t! Eventually, they warm-up to the idea of finding a foreign husband because Eastern women have been indoctrinated to think that they need a husband for happiness. Eventually, many of them have a hard time finding a ‘suitable’ husband at home. In Russia, the whole issue relates to the notion that a woman is expected to find happiness in raising a family. They are not encouraged to seek fulfillment by pursuing a career or through the persuit of creative passions.
When you look at the male-to-female demographic, the ratio of men: [to] women is 86:100 in Russia, and 85:100 in the Ukraine. You don’t need to be an expert to see why women, who have not found a partner by the age of 30, might consider marrying a foreigner. It makes it a little easier for them to find a husband. What causes such imbalances in demographics? Well initially, at birth you actually have a ratio of around 106:100 [male-to-female], but there are SO many more ‘early deaths’ recorded within the male populace, that has led to higher numbers of females.
In Russia and Ukraine, substance abuse contributes to health problems as well as being the major cause of fatal accidents. As such, Russian & Ukrainian men only have a life expectancy of 63 years (& declining). In contrast to Western Nations such as Switzerland, Iceland, Israel and Singapore which all boast a male life-expectancy of 81 years! Followed by Australia, Andorra, Austria, Canada, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom all coming in at approximately 80 years! That pegs the average life expectancy in a ‘western nation’ at no less than 27.5 percent higher! In other words, even if Russian and Ukrainian women didn’t mind marrying alcoholics and substance-abuse partners, or they were willing to ignore the high-risk of birth-defects (yes, sperm contributed by alcoholic or substance-abusing fathers), it’s hard to ignore the obvious population imbalance caused by a lower life-expectancy among men. This, although merely a symptom of a more wide-spread condition, is ultimately what is forcing Russian and Ukrainian women to seek life-partners elsewhere.
Another reason that Slavic ladies prefer Western men is similar to why Western females’ do! That is to say, they want to be “together in sickness and in health”. They also want to cherish and love their partner for as long as possible. Most Russian and Ukrainian women prefer to marry a partner for life, and they look down on divorce as a taboo subject.
For the Russian and Ukrainian woman, marriage becomes more than just a partnership. It becomes more about building a respectable social status around them like an investment. A married lady tends to see herself as more valuable than her unmarried friends because she has managed to get a man to commit his life to her. Single Russian & Ukrainian women over 25-years old can feel as if they are being looked down on by their married piers, possibly as someone who cannot find a man to put a ring on her finger.
